Onsomblr is a Chennai-based clothing brand that redefines power dressing for women aged 30-50.
For too long, ‘power dressing’ felt unflattering with limited options, while traditional Indian wear could be restrictive in professional spaces. This brand flips the script — creating clothing that fits the Indian woman, with Indian motifs and modern silhouettes that move with her and celebrate her femininity, her way.

Brand Strategy / Brand Identity
The name needed to reflect the brand’s intention – to offer a complete wardrobe for women who were often overlooked in mainstream fashion. Onsomblr, inspired by ‘ensemble for her’, felt like the perfect name for this story. It captures the idea of designing for the woman who wants to express herself in any way she sees fit.
Through our consumer research we were able to identify cultural stereotypes that exist for women within this age category. Financially stable yet still answerable to their families or societal expectations, they were always told that their ambition, dressing sense or appearance was ‘too much.’
Armed with this information, we decided to change the narrative by positioning the brand as one that would ‘shape a new conversation in womenswear.’ And our approach started with a bold tagline - one that told them that no matter what they did, how they dressed or spoke their mind, they were ‘Never Too Much.’ The tagline celebrates their confidence, ambition and passion — with clothes that support them, not hold them back.
Onsomblr’s brand identity puts power dressing at the centre, exploring elements that feel bold, graceful and confident. The result? A tall monolithic logo, a typeform with gentle curves and a refined colour palette with a signature colour that makes the brand instantly recognizable.
