• Take a brief from the client servicing manager and copywriter and turn it into ideas worth pitching
• Set the creative direction for a campaign, from colour and type to imagery and layout, and see it through
• Run a brainstorm, build a mood board, or kill a concept that isn't working
• Present design work to a client, take feedback well, and know when feedback is actually a change in brief
• Commission photographers, illustrators, or specialists and brief them properly
• Review your team's work and give feedback that makes it better, not just different
• Catch something off-brand before it leaves the building
• Mentor a junior designer who's stuck

The ideal person

• Leads without ego and wears whatever hat the project needs
• Can explain an idea clearly in writing, not just visually
• Stays calm and delivers under tight deadlines and shifting briefs
• Keeps files, assets, and timelines organised so nobody has to chase them
• Digs in when things go wrong instead of pointing fingers
• Is always feeding their creative side, and it shows in the work
• Cares about the team's culture as much as the output

You bring

• 3–5 years of design experience, ideally at a creative or advertising agency
• Experience leading projects and mentoring other designers
• A portfolio with campaign work you can walk us through
• Strong presentation and written communication skills
• Chennai-based, or genuinely willing to relocate
• An eye for motion, film, or photography, or an interest in working with these verticals, is a bonus, not a requirement
